...and further history...

The next book is"White Queen", which is the story of Elizabeth Woodville-daughter of Jacquetta of Luxembourg.

She fell in love with the young King Edmund (although the people of that time say it is through witchcraft), secretly marries him and after strengthening his position in the state, the king brings his wife to the castle, and with her, her whole, big family.
The Queen, with her introduction to the castle, begins to look for good parties for her sisters and brothers, so that in the event of danger she may have family support.
This is not liked by people at the court at the time, because they believe that the queen rules the country from behind the throne of the king, and the king does not argue.
All the conspiracies, rumours and alleged spells of the queen and her mother.
But the life of kings is not littered with roses, and it is after the sudden death of King Elizabeth that he hides with his daughters in the church's underground. His older son is being held by his uncle in the Tower, and his young son goes abroad in the night.
But this is just a book version because the historian really does not know what happened to the princes in the Tower.

The next part of this series is"The kingmaker`s daughter".
This is the story of one of the daughters of the most powerful man of that time, Richard Nevill, who once fought with Edmund from York against Margaret of Anjou, and then turned against him and put his brother and his daughter on his throne, and later to unite with Margaret of Anjou and to put her son on the throne with her other daughter.
Unfortunately, he failed to do any of these things because Edmund, who was his mentee, learned his strategy well from his cousin and defeated him.
Anna, after an unfortunate marriage to Prince Edward, quickly becomes widows and gets under the care of her sister, who considers her a traitor and makes her unhappy.
The girl is lucky because the younger brother of the king falls in love with her and helps her escape.
After many years, she manages to implement her father's plan and becomes the queen of England, not for long, but still.
She died a few months after the death of her only son on March 16, 1485, on the day when the total solar eclipse occurred.

Another woman who played her role in the war of roses can be found in the book "The Red Queen".
We will find here a woman fighting for her beliefs that her son should become the next king.
Margaret Beaufort, the forgotten founder of the Tudor family.
Being a thirteen-year-old girl, she is married to a man twice as old as her and quickly widows, but from her marriage, a boy-Henry Tudor was born.
Today, we could say that she was a devotee who was always kneeling in the church and convinced that God had chosen her son as king of England.

She sends his son along with his uncle abroad and conspires herself, and despite unfavourable times and for the price of everything, she wants to put his son on the throne.
And she manages to do so even though she must have been able to commit crimes and marry her son with the daughter of Elizabeth Woodville, who she hated.

And all this to satisfy her ambitions so she can sign her letters with Margaret Regina incantations.

And the last book in this series is "The White Princess".
The eldest daughter of King Edmund and Elizabeth Woodville, who is in love with his king Richard and plans a wedding together, but unfortunately the king dies on the battlefield and Henry Tudor sits on the throne and it is Elizabeth who must give her hand.
She hates her husband, hates her mother-in-law, does not agree with what is happening to her mother, but humbly accepts her role, gives birth to her son and other children. In time she even falls in love with her husband.
But as we already know, happiness does not last forever and a rival appears who claims to be one of the lost princes from Tower and her brother.

This is not an easy time for the princess, the more that her cousin and pretender to the throne, which could threaten Henry is imprisoned in the Tower and for many years at the urging of his cousin trying to free the cousin.
Unfortunately, she fails to save her brother and cousin who was beheaded, and her eldest son, Artur, declines to die a few months after married with a Spanish princess and he dies.

Although the court ladies and queens did not have much to do but get well married and have a son, they also had great ambitions and even bigger ones than their husbands or sons.

I invite you to explore history, because it really is impressive and full of secrets, and who does not like to read is invited to watch the films from the series "White Queen" and "White Princess".

Peak District.

Over the last few weeks, the weather in England is just amazing.
I drove once to work and thought about the last time it was raining (so when the wipers were last used).
Sun, sun, heat, heat and sun again.
So you have to use it.
I am not a big admirer of lying on the beach and spreading creams so that the sun will not burn me.
Even if the heat is pouring from the sky, I prefer to pack my backpack and move somewhere in the woods.
It's good that they have a park in England called the Peak District.
Such views can also be seen.
This is the National Park stretching between Sheffield and Manchester, Huddersfield and Derby (I stretched a bit, but these are bigger cities on the map).
And here we have the freedom to choose maps and areas.
What do you like!
Higher mountains, hills, lowlands and silent rivulets, meadows, fields and pastures.
I am not joking, sometimes you go through the middle of such a pasture.
You can choose between bike paths, hiking climbers, lazy walks in the woods or lounging by the rivers and enjoying the views.
You choose what you like?!

We've already been with my boyfriend a few times on shorter trips, and once we only managed to get out for 30 minutes, because it was bringing in clouds and we were soaked to the dry thread.
We left with Youlgrave.
A bit of a grove and a murmuring rivulet, hills and a few pastures with cows.
All the grass burned from the great sun, but luckily we had a rivulet for quite a bit of the road, where you could dip your feet, rest, eat a little bit.
And let`s go!
Along the way, we met a lot of people who went out for a walk, and also groups of young people wandering around with camping equipment.
We came to the end of the rill and here the real stairs started (real stairs like at home, but of different sizes).
Unfortunately, but my camera in my cell refused to obey and I do not have a picture to prove to you, but take my word for it that after climbing, we went to the clearing and we could not move our legs.
But everything good ends sometime and you have to get up and move further through the pastures to our town.

If you like walks I invite you to Peak District.

A little bit about history of England...?

Finally, I found interesting, well-read historical books about the war of two roses in the 15th century England.
I must say that I am terribly tempted by these intrigues at royal courts, poisons, public executions, battles and fights for the throne, but also beautiful princesses, lavish lunches and balls, well, not one girl wanted to be a princess.
Oh sorry, after reading these books, I'd rather be an ordinary wife of the innkeeper.

I was looking for something about the war of roses, and at the same time it would not be too boring a historical book.
And what you ask for it you have. Like dinner on a plate in a restaurant.

Let's start with the esteemed writer Philippe Gregory, a historian who in England was hailed as "the queen of English historical fiction".
You can not say that she only writes fictions because there are many historical facts in her books. Anyway, at the end of every book, she writes what is not a historical truth but only her thoughts on how the story could have happened, give the authors of the books from which she drew historical knowledge.
After all, not everything is known in history, because the queen did not write down in her diary that she poisoned her sister-in-law, killed her best friend's sons - we can only guess.

     A series of five books.
You could say that they are written like diaries that they wrote in those
times, ladies from good homes and these are the main women from the war of the two roses or war cousins who, pushed with their own ambitions, play significant roles in the kingdom (after all, every mother wants to see her son on the throne of England).
You can not choose only one book, eg. for the Queen of England, but you have to read all five because then you have to watch everything.
And so the queen only writes about her good sides, about her colorful life, balls, dinners and battles her husband Edward IV chooses for.
But before we read about her royal life, we must first read where she came from on the English throne and in England in general.
And the first book I recommend "The lady of the Rivers" and this is the story of the life of Jacquetta of Luxemburg, mother of Elizabeth Woodville.

The eldest daughter of Piotr I of Luxembourger and Margaret de Baux.
At the beginning of the book, we meet Jacquetta, who which establishes a relationship with Joanne d`Arc in her uncle's prison and is the world of its burning at the stake, which makes her think that her "gift" is not welcome in Christian Europe.
At the age of 17, she married John, Prince Bedford (he was the brother of King Henry V), who died after two years of childless marriage and here in the book there is another legend.
Apparently, the Luxembourg dynasty derives from the legendary river goddess Meluzyna, who was the grandmother of Siegfried and the first count of Luxemburg, and her first husband wants to find a philosopher's stone and change metal into gold, so he goes to astrologers and they inform him that he will be lucky if he takes Jacquetta as a wife, but she must be a virgin, because then her "visions" will be cleaner.

During this marriage, Jacquetta falls in love with Richard Woodville's squire and Chamberlain.
She knows that after a year mourning for her husband, the King of England will show her a new husband and marry Richard for love and thus lose her lands and titles given to her by her husband, she was also forbidden to stay outside the court and was assigned a one-year annuity of 1,000 pounds.
This changed when the wife and queen of England became Margaret , whose brother was Jacquetta's brother-in-law and under the pressure of Queen Henry, recognized her marriage, reinstated Richard and appointed Baron Rivers , and two years later, the Knight of the Garter.

The book shows how much the queen relied on Jacobin and always asked her advice and and even asks her for divination, Jacquetta was always devoted to the queen and of course you can not overlook how much she loved her husband, and every his return from Caleis(which at that time belonged to England)  was crowned with the birth of another child (and there were 14).
Jacquetta is not happy to use his divination skills, because she knows what it threatens, but she sees the future and can not believe that this is how the fate of Queen and her daughter Elizabeth are to go.
But read about it in this book.

Well, I did a vacation in writing.
And I have no excuse for it.

I did not have anything interesting to write or I was just lazy(in most of the time).
Well because what to write here when life stands in place or it seems so because all the time works between work and home, home and work.
Although sometimes something in the background scrolls like a book read, watched a movie, another finished piece of knitting or crochet etc.
Or another move and change address?
Oh yeah!
Again?!
I have already counted that I changed my place of residence every year (that is, 10).
But, only a few months and I'm going home.
For now, I can enjoy the beautiful weather
(it's probably so special for me to let this year pass well) and go home.

I already have enough of this life on suitcases, it's time to go back to Poland.
Almost everyone tells me that I will definitely come back, but it is true that I prefer to"pat poor" in my own home than to earn well abroad and live in a house where you have to adapt to the rules there.
You say you can buy a house, but I will not work like a machine for X-years to sell this house in my old age and return to a country where my parents will no longer be.
I want to be very close to them and no money will change that.

After all, I always say that as many people in the world think so much and everyone would say something different here.

We pray for the future.

Why is it so strange that if I think about something, then I am bombarded with information about this subject from all sides?
It's not like I'm looking for something on the internet. It's not me because I usually write that I have something to check and after a few seconds I forget why I opened the computer (oh this forgetfulness).
It's like, for example, that I'm starting to watch a program on YouTube and immediately after it automatically gets a movie with a topic that interested me once and now this subject wants to remind me.

And so, along with Christmas, I ended the Pompeian Novena and in the New Year I promised myself that I would "adopt spiritually" a child who is threatened with abortion and here is a good angel in the New Year and reminds me of prayer by accidentally opening a page with prayers for children at risk of abortion(I am glad I have  someone who reminds me of what I once promised).

Where does this idea come from?

For centuries, Europe was Christian and every born child was accepted as a blessing.
I know from history that there were wars, diseases and children sometimes did not live to adolescence, but there were more of them born than in today's times when we do not have wars, and medicine is so great that ... well, it kills unborn children instead of saving them.

Do not future doctors swear to save lives, and here they kill children because women are not prepared for a child, want to make a career or a child was conceived as a result of rape, or worst of all, a couple have got sex and they forgot to secure themselves.

Europe, do you really want to kill your future in so stupid way?

Have we already forgotten what Saint John Paul II said?
   He said:
"A country that kills own children
                                kills own future"
   Is this not true?
Let's look at our Europe.
You do not think that it "shrinks".
Not geographically, because it would be immediately visible, but numerically.
This, as you can see the date from 2015 because only I found it, but it is worth looking for 2017 and they are certainly two times bigger.

The funniest thing is that the "religion of peace", which so successfully overwhelmed Europe and blows us up into the air, generates many children who numerically outgrow the classes to which white European children go.
Sometimes we do not have the impression that there are more and more Mohamed and Aish in the classes of our sons and daughters than John, James, Sean, Ann, Elizabeth...

Do we want to kill our future and let Europe's white people disappear in this way?
Do we want the children of our children to pay a jizyah for living in peace for some time until next payday?
Do we want our sons to be killed, and the daughters walk in burqas and are raped every day?
Is this what we want in the future?

We are already becoming a dying species, and if it does not appeal to some liberated women who are fighting for their rights to abortion and deciding about their bodies, I will give good advice.
Put on the iron panties, close a small padlock and put the key in the deep water, because why else should tempt those who enrich us culturally.

People talk and write about abortion a lot in recent times, and what is left to us to oppose.
Not every one of us can write to the president and ask for a change of rules, but there is something that will help us change something: pray and believe that somewhere there we help another child to be born.

I invite you to join the "Spiritual Adoption" right now, right here.
Open and read, even if you are not sure, save this page for later, I believe that it will be useful someday.
And if you are still not convinced, I encourage you to watch the movie titled:"Meant to be".

I strongly believe that "my" adopted baby is about a month old and grows well under the heart of some mother.
And I strongly encourage you to "Spiritual Adoption"

"The Greatest showman".

Probably the most beautiful musical I have ever seen (excluding"Mama mia").
A film full of colour, music, dance and singing.
I do not like spending money on anything and then leave the cinema disappointed, but this movie was not disappointed truly after the screening, I wanted to run and buy another ticket for this same movie.
From the first musical bars, I could not get over the admiration that something so great could be created.
My legs wanted to dance, the soul wanted to sing and if there was no one in the cinema, believe me, that I would dance there.

The story of a man who decides to make his childhood dreams come true after being released from work.
I must also mention that his daughter helps him, which gives him an idea and then goes ... not necessarily well.
Of course, when the museum opens with various strange personalities, the business begins to spin, but there are always those who think they are a little jealous and therefore oppose this museum, which later, thanks to a critic, is called a circus.
Our hero becomes very famous in America and later in the world, which results in a visit to the English Queen where meet very famous opera diva and proposes a tour in USA.Of course, he did not say nothing to his wife and invest all money.
And here is the scene where I could say that greed takes over the old friendship, thanks to which ... he became famous.
But friends will not let him down and they will always be with him because "... you made us a family when others moved away from us."

I welcome everyone in New Year

And here come January 2018 and I came back with him.
I warmly welcome you after a long time of not being here.
I will not go into why I was not here, I will write only:
                                      "Men are like alcohol
               Renouncing them is an asceticism
                      that brings bitterness.
Enjoying them is a way of life
                    that brightens up the day.
                   Addiction to them is stupid."

And what I have been doing during this time?
                                                 I crocheted a little

                                               I knitting a little

Well, as at the beginning of the year, it was necessary to clean up the room and ventilate the wardrobes.
There is always something to be found in which you do not walk or what is not used and you can give to "second hand".
I also believe that this is my last year of residence on the islands because I will tell you the truth that money really does not bring happiness.

The family is the most important.
I wake up every morning in a room that is not even my room and I go to work and feel emptiness.
After every holiday spends in Poland I come back sadder ,and even I am sometimes angry at myself that than I believed in a beautiful life abroad and I left my country.
It's hard for him, it's better to come with a friend, girlfriend / boyfriend, wife / husband.
But why pour out grief at the beginning of the year, after all, it's a carnival and we should have fun.
That's why I wish you all the best in the New Year and the great carnival parties.
