Kitten`s dreams

Sleep is the time for regeneration and the rest of our body. Charging our batteries for the next day.
It can be long and deep that even a herd of elephants running across the room could not wake you up.
And sometimes it is shallow and even a silently moving clock hand could immediately put it on its feet.
There are also those who will not fall asleep when it is a full moon or these sleepwalkers.
Our dreams also different in colours, what we experienced, what movies we watch, what we dream about, and sometimes we don't have them at all.

But I am not talking here about our human dreams, but about cats - I don't know them at all, but seeing how much my kitten stretches while sleeping on the bed, I can say only one thing:
                                       - I certainly feel safe,
                                       - I feel so good and comfortable.

"I have a place to lie on one side...
... and turn over to the other side...
... then I will hug the dog ...
                                                 ...  will take a look,can I still sleep...
... I will strech my arms...
                                                           ...and I am still sleeping...
                                                              ... on the hedgehog

Short break.

Well, exactly for two days. Of course, I don't count two days of travelling.
And I can even say that our LOT airlines surprised me positively. I flew with them for the first time and I will say that I will probably change carrier.
The ticket price was only slightly different from the cheap airlines that I could use to fly directly to London, and here I had to fly with transfers.
I must admit that I am a childless person and unfortunately I am starting to tire of flights with more children on board (I have nothing against parents flying with their children), and here it is so silent that I did not have to put on headphones to read a book, much less get enough sleep.
The plane was not too big because there were only four people in a row (two on the right and left) and not six, where sometimes there is a problem if a person from under the window wants to go to the toilet is one from the middle and from the inside must leave ( it's a bit "jumping").
My mother and I arrived at a small airport, which is trying to expand a little (though there is not enough space, because it is old docks) London City Center and soon we bought a ticket for the subway (not the first time I travel around London by underground so I know how not to get lost) and we got to Earl Court to a previously ordered hotel.
We do not belong to comfortable people, so whether it is 2,3 or any star makes no difference, it is important that there are beds, bathroom, toilet and you can make coffee or tea.
So it was like that.
Luxury at all.
On the first day, we drove to Big Ben and Parliament, which is still under renovation, but the clock is not completely covered as it was when I last saw it.
Then from the beautiful St. James`s Park surrounded by lush vegetation

where we watched the black swans (and I thought they were only in fairy tales;)))

we went to Buckingham Palace.

Then we came up with an English breakfast near Piccadilly Circus, then again over the bridge next to the Parliament, the London Eye, Shakepeare`s theatre and again to the other side to St.Paul`s Cathedral.

There we had a cup of coffee and ate a cookie, still a small shopping for supper and go to the hotel.
So what's left for us the next day?
Rain woke us up like usually on the islands and we went to the Tower of London, we ate breakfast nearby,

we bought tickets and visited the castle all day (it has already cleared up a bit). The whole day of decent English history and the most important point is the place of imprisonment and beheading of Anna Boleyn.
Then just a mandatory photo at Tower Bridge,

The last look at glass skyscrapers,

small shopping in a nearby store and go to the hotel for supper.
And early in the morning, we had the same journey we had on the first day, only the other way home.

I was going to settle the matter, but it failed, but my mother had a wonderful birthday present.

                          HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MUM!

Small masterpieces.

Recently,I liked sewing on plastic canvas very much.
You can hold a stiff canvas in your hand, you can cut out the whole canvas just as much as you need for a small masterpiece and I don't have to look for where the next hole is, which comes with small canvas holes.
An additional plus is that I can quickly finish small, colourful handicrafts and hang them in the window, hang on a curtain, on the door or put between flower leaves like those ones.
Such lovely little masterpieces.
These little blue ones always remind me of the Netherlands, like small tiles decorating old tiled stoves.

Practice makes perfect. After a few snowmen for the Christmas tree and chickens that scattered over the flowers, I decided that they would be well represented when I sew a piece of coloured material from the bottom of the piece, and the back of such work looks more aesthetically pleasing.
And other angels can fly to the Christmas tree or other Christmas decorations.

Kitten.

It has probably been more than a month when my colleague from work brought me this small, white ball.
Such a small varmint and troublemaker, just like a small child, must enter everywhere, sweep all dirt from corners, catch spiders from behind cabinets and climb on everything.

She want play all day round.
Whole armchairs ruffled, curtains pulled, baskets overturned and legs (of course mine) bitten because he must catch everything that moves.

She climbs the curtains, sharpens claws on the armchairs, throws all the rubbish out of my bin just to lie down comfortably there (no matter that only for two minutes).
She loves to go to the garden. You don`t have to call her twice. She loves to jump on wet grass, climb trees, smell flowers and usually she likes to walk behind a pine tree and jump on my leg or a scary neighbour chicken.
You can`t catch her, she always has some tricks in her head.

                                                                My dear FUNIA.

And so much comes from New Year`s resolutions.
I had to write more and what happen-empty head, nothing to write.
New job, house renovation, every day some work in the garden(especially when the garden is big) or everybody order some slippers

                                  or some handbags

or such a decoration for toilet paper.

New Year

      New resolution with New Year:

 1. I will run my blog honestly.
 2. I will run my blog honestly.
 3. I will run my blog honestly.

I know, I know. The decision is decided and later the wings fall and we forget New Year resolution.

I start New Year in my beloved home in Silesia, no matter how buried and dark, it`s important with my family and full of love, I think this is more important.
I got bored with being a maternalist, when after 10 years of staying in England I did not find friends because everyone was only outdoing in the hands of better cars and when they got into the hierarchy of work above they suddenly forgot to say, "Good morning."
They say I will come back - I do not know. (Maybe, but who knows.)
But if this happens, then an empty room will stand in front of my eyes and live with somebody strange.

I just found a quote, which I once wrote down with ... I do not remember, but it is worth to begin this first day of January with these words.

What is most important for me?

"It is better to live in the simplicity of life filled
with  faith in the  Eucharistic Christ than to
lead a sumptuous life that is empty like a shell".

Once again I wish you all
                                        Happy New Year!!!

...and further history...

The next book is"White Queen", which is the story of Elizabeth Woodville-daughter of Jacquetta of Luxembourg.

She fell in love with the young King Edmund (although the people of that time say it is through witchcraft), secretly marries him and after strengthening his position in the state, the king brings his wife to the castle, and with her, her whole, big family.
The Queen, with her introduction to the castle, begins to look for good parties for her sisters and brothers, so that in the event of danger she may have family support.
This is not liked by people at the court at the time, because they believe that the queen rules the country from behind the throne of the king, and the king does not argue.
All the conspiracies, rumours and alleged spells of the queen and her mother.
But the life of kings is not littered with roses, and it is after the sudden death of King Elizabeth that he hides with his daughters in the church's underground. His older son is being held by his uncle in the Tower, and his young son goes abroad in the night.
But this is just a book version because the historian really does not know what happened to the princes in the Tower.

The next part of this series is"The kingmaker`s daughter".
This is the story of one of the daughters of the most powerful man of that time, Richard Nevill, who once fought with Edmund from York against Margaret of Anjou, and then turned against him and put his brother and his daughter on his throne, and later to unite with Margaret of Anjou and to put her son on the throne with her other daughter.
Unfortunately, he failed to do any of these things because Edmund, who was his mentee, learned his strategy well from his cousin and defeated him.
Anna, after an unfortunate marriage to Prince Edward, quickly becomes widows and gets under the care of her sister, who considers her a traitor and makes her unhappy.
The girl is lucky because the younger brother of the king falls in love with her and helps her escape.
After many years, she manages to implement her father's plan and becomes the queen of England, not for long, but still.
She died a few months after the death of her only son on March 16, 1485, on the day when the total solar eclipse occurred.

Another woman who played her role in the war of roses can be found in the book "The Red Queen".
We will find here a woman fighting for her beliefs that her son should become the next king.
Margaret Beaufort, the forgotten founder of the Tudor family.
Being a thirteen-year-old girl, she is married to a man twice as old as her and quickly widows, but from her marriage, a boy-Henry Tudor was born.
Today, we could say that she was a devotee who was always kneeling in the church and convinced that God had chosen her son as king of England.

She sends his son along with his uncle abroad and conspires herself, and despite unfavourable times and for the price of everything, she wants to put his son on the throne.
And she manages to do so even though she must have been able to commit crimes and marry her son with the daughter of Elizabeth Woodville, who she hated.

And all this to satisfy her ambitions so she can sign her letters with Margaret Regina incantations.

And the last book in this series is "The White Princess".
The eldest daughter of King Edmund and Elizabeth Woodville, who is in love with his king Richard and plans a wedding together, but unfortunately the king dies on the battlefield and Henry Tudor sits on the throne and it is Elizabeth who must give her hand.
She hates her husband, hates her mother-in-law, does not agree with what is happening to her mother, but humbly accepts her role, gives birth to her son and other children. In time she even falls in love with her husband.
But as we already know, happiness does not last forever and a rival appears who claims to be one of the lost princes from Tower and her brother.

This is not an easy time for the princess, the more that her cousin and pretender to the throne, which could threaten Henry is imprisoned in the Tower and for many years at the urging of his cousin trying to free the cousin.
Unfortunately, she fails to save her brother and cousin who was beheaded, and her eldest son, Artur, declines to die a few months after married with a Spanish princess and he dies.

Although the court ladies and queens did not have much to do but get well married and have a son, they also had great ambitions and even bigger ones than their husbands or sons.

I invite you to explore history, because it really is impressive and full of secrets, and who does not like to read is invited to watch the films from the series "White Queen" and "White Princess".
